Spring Lecture Event

Spirituality stock-art-suppliesand stress relief.  Art and healing. Creativity and mental acuity. We are intrigued by the connection between art and health, and this presentation will explain why. Visual art can help process grief and loss, promote increased self-awareness through imaginative expression, and create an overall sense of wellness, relief and positive mental health.

Please join us for our Spring Lifelong Learning member reception and lecture. The event will take place on Tuesday, March 31, at the Mountcastle Forum of the Milton Rhodes Center for the Arts. Our members-only reception begins at 6:30 pm; the lecture (open to the public) begins at 7:30 pm.

In this lecture, Amanda Sullivan and Amy Kincaid, facilitators of the Healing and Wellness Through the Arts program at Sawtooth School for Visual Art, will discuss how you can use creative expression to make a powerful contribution towards your own state of health. They will provide an overview of Sawtooth’s wellness program and a preview of upcoming classes.

Please RSVP (336-758-5232 or lifelonglearning@wfu.edu) if you plan on attending. Parking for members is provided without charge in the lot across the street from the MRCA (the lot where you park for classes). If you have your Spring 2015 parking pass, bring that and put it on your dashboard for the event.
